Responsibility details are not available.
Eight three-dimensionally printed rear fins of the British RP-3 unguided rocket in the rendition that was used during the war. The eight corresponds to the usual load of one fighter-bomber, which carried the rockets under the wing in two sets of four.
The RP-3 was a simple weapon: a tube with solid propellant, onto which either a sixty-pound high-explosive warhead or a twenty-five-pound solid steel head against armored equipment and submarines was screwed. The accuracy was not great, but a salvo had an effect comparable to an artillery barrage and the crews launched it against columns, railway stations and shipping. The rear fins held the rocket on its track from the moment it left the rail.
First lay out the spacings on the wing and only then glue, because unevenly mounted armament is visible at first sight. The fins are thin; handle them with tweezers and transfer the glue with a wire. In color they follow the particular machine, usually taking the dark shade of the fuselage or staying in a metallic tone.
The set covers exclusively this part of the armament, not the whole aircraft or its powerplant.
