The Browning 12.7 mm heavy machine gun is one of the most widespread weapons of its class. From the Second World War on it appears on armored and cargo vehicles, on ships and in aircraft mounts, and it stayed in service long afterward. That is exactly why it suits countless subjects and a modeler will use it on more than one build.
The set brings four examples of the weapon in 1:48 scale. It replaces the parts from the kit, which at such a small scale tend to be simplified, and gives the model a sharply legible shape of the barrel and the body of the weapon in the place the viewer looks at first.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that you do not damage the fine edges. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will hold badly. Use cyanoacrylate glue and apply it in the smallest amount, because a surplus will creep into the detail and flood it.
The set suits anyone building vehicles or aircraft in 1:48 scale who wants the armament to be on a par with the rest of the model. Working with small parts calls for tweezers and a steady hand, but otherwise the fitting is simple and even a less experienced modeler will manage it. Painting is easier before gluing, because the weapon can be held by the root of the barrel.
