An injection-molded plastic kit of the improved Bü 131D version of the legendary training biplane in 1:48 scale. The model offers a detailed cockpit and a faithful structure of the flying surfaces. The box contains decals for several color options of machines operated in various air forces.
The Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann was a German two-seat training biplane of the 1930s. Thanks to excellent flying qualities and a rugged structure it became one of the most widespread basic trainers of its day and served in many countries, including use for pilot training during the Second World War. The Bü 131D configuration was an improved production version.
On a biplane, give attention to seating the interplane struts and bracing precisely; a jig made from parts or temporary supports will help. Rigging wires added from thin thread raise the realism markedly. The cockpit stands out because it stays open, so it pays to paint it carefully.
