Exotic Decals Bulgarian Arrows, Part 4 is a decal sheet for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G in Bulgarian service, 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth part of the Bulgarian Arrows decal series from Exotic Decals, this time devoted to Messerschmitt Bf 109 G machines in Bulgarian service, in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit - it is a sheet of markings for a model of a Gustav from another maker's box. Against the earlier parts of the series, which concern the older Emils, this sheet covers a later and more powerful version of the same type.
The Bf 109 G, known among modelers as the Gustav, was the most numerous version of the whole 109 series. Against the Emil it had a stronger engine, markedly higher performance at greater altitudes and a modified armament. The Gustavs reached the Bulgarian Air Force in the second half of the war and were committed above all to the defense of its airspace. The Bulgarian national insignia derived from the cross of St Andrew gives a model a look that differs at first glance from the usual German machines.
A gloss base first - spray the face under the decal with clear gloss varnish. Cut the decal close to the print, soak it briefly in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide freely off the paper. Seat it with a soft brush, draw the water off and pull it with a decal softener into the engraved lines and over the riveting. Once it is completely dry, seal the surface with varnish in the chosen degree of gloss; only then start on the weathering.
It is a decal set, not a model. A kit, paints, varnish and a decal softener are not included in the package.
