This is not a kit but an aftermarket detail set. It consists of 3D printed, fully colored interior elements on thin backing decal paper. It fits out the cockpit of a model of the early version of the Canadian CF-104 Starfighter in 1:48 scale with a realistic instrument panel, side panels and cockpit detail. The set is intended for the Kinetic kit.
The CF-104 was the Canadian license-built Starfighter, adapted for the strike role and for low-level reconnaissance. It served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, largely in NATO formations in Europe, and was notable for its thin wing and high speed. The early machines differed from later modifications in their cockpit equipment.
The individual elements are cut from the sheet, soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing paper straight onto the cockpit parts. They have no adhesive layer of their own: they hold on a surface coated beforehand with gloss (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), and in intricate places a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemicals attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The base Kinetic kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
