This resin set from the Quickboost brand (a line from the manufacturer Aires) offers accurately cast air brakes for plastic models of the McDonnell F-4B/N Phantom II carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The accessory lets you show the brake panels in the deployed position with a convincing inner structure. This is not an aircraft kit but an upgrade part.
The castings have a finely worked relief on the inner face of the brakes and thin edges, which injection-molded plastic usually lacks. The model therefore gains a realistic view of the underside of the fuselage with the air brakes open.
Before building, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a primer before painting.
The set contains resin parts only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
