CH-47D Chinook, colored 3D interior 1:48 for the Hobby Boss kit is a three-dimensional set for the inside of the twin-rotor machine from Quinta Studio.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory works out the inside of the twin-rotor machine in the D version. The elements are made by three-dimensional printing, so they have real depth and once in place they replace a flat coat of paint over the instrument areas. The package is prepared for the Hobby Boss 1:48 CH-47D kit, because it is precisely the target kit that sets this set apart from a sister item of the same brand.
The D version came about by rebuilding older airframes to a single standard, and the American army operated it from the 1980s for many decades. It brought more powerful engines, three cargo hooks under the fuselage and revised crew station equipment, which nevertheless stayed analog. It is precisely that intermediate position between period and present-day machines that makes the D version an interesting subject.
Before fitting the elements, remove grease and dust from the surface, best with a soft cloth and an oil-free degreaser. Place the smaller groups one at a time and let the surface rest between steps. The lighting of the cargo compartment is finally tuned with a dark shade into the corners, so that the interior does not look flat. A dry fit of the fuselage halves will show whether everything comes together without resistance.
