Resin wheels for the CH-53 Sea Stallion in 1:48 in the early type, with weighted tires. An accessory for a plastic kit, not a model of the helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin set of wheels for a model of the CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter in 1:48 scale, in the type the manufacturer describes as early. It is not a kit of the helicopter but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. The tires are cast as weighted, that is with a flattened contact patch.
The Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion is an American heavy transport helicopter, brought into service in the mid-1960s and used by the Marine Corps and other branches. It carries cargo as well as troops, so it has a high takeoff weight and sturdy landing gear. The later and more powerful machine with three engines carries the designation CH-53E Super Stallion, and that is already a different subject. The landing gear parts changed during production, which is why the manufacturer distinguishes an early and a late wheel.
For modelers of helicopters in 1:48 who build the older version of the CH-53 and want a landing gear with a flattened tire. A heavy helicopter stands on clearly loaded tires and a round casting from a mold does not capture that. Check the contents of the package on the box.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
