A scenic accessory for an interior scene in 1:48 scale. A cooking stove belongs in the kitchens of houses, in crew quarters and in the makeshift fittings set up in an abandoned building. It is not a kit and not a finished model; it is a stand-alone piece of equipment for a scene, which you clean up, paint and seat on the base.
In 1:48 scale the range of interior equipment is considerably narrower than in 1:35, and yet it is exactly the small fittings that turn a scene into a lived-in space. A cooking stove is rewarding in that a viewer recognizes it at once: it gives a room a purpose and offers a surface for soot, grease and chipped enamel, that is for the weathering you cannot use on clean machinery. The 1:48 scale is the distinguishing detail; the same subject also comes out in further scales and they cannot be swapped.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. Paints, glue, a base and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
