The Bronco Curtiss P-40C Warhawk is a plastic kit of the American fighter of the early Second World War in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Bronco presents the early American Curtiss P-40C Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale. The package contains plastic parts, a photo-etched fret and decals for machines of the US Army Air Forces.
The P-40C belonged to the early versions of the widespread Curtiss P-40 line (the Hawk 81 family) powered by the Allison V12 engine. Compared with the first series it received self-sealing fuel tanks and a hardpoint under the fuselage for a drop tank or light bombs. Its gun armament consisted of a pair of heavy machine guns above the engine supplemented by light machine guns in the wings. Warhawks of this type formed the backbone of the American fighter force in the first months of the war in the Pacific and were also used by further Allied units. The Allison V12 engine gave the machine good performance at low and medium altitudes.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate. Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Before spraying, a base coat of primer and an airbrush are recommended. Early American machines are worth accentuating with fine weathering of the panel lines and chipped paint on the leading edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
