The set contains resin landing gear doors for the model of the British Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory from the maker Quickboost (a line of the Aires brand). The precisely cast parts replace the plastic doors from the box and give the landing gear finer detail and a more faithful wall thickness.
The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British two-seat fighter from the beginning of the Second World War with an unusual solution: it had no fixed gun armament in the wings but a rotating gun turret with four machine guns behind the pilot. In the Mk.I version it proved itself above all as a night fighter.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your airways while sanding. For good paint adhesion, apply a base color (primer) first.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
