The Dragon Rapide was an elegant twin-engine transport biplane of the 1930s, popular on short routes and for carrying small numbers of passengers. A wooden structure covered with fabric, aerodynamically clean engine nacelles and reliable inline engines made it one of the most successful British transport aircraft of its day. It served with airlines, with the military and in representative roles.
As with every biplane, the precise seating of the upper wing and the struts is the key; add the rigging between the wings with fine thread or elastic filament only after gluing and painting. Paint and mask the glazed cabin in advance. Apply the glossy representative finish in thin coats and polish it for a clean look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
