A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set brings faithfully cast landing gear bays of the German Dornier Do 335 Pfeil heavy fighter with fine internal ribbing, lines and wall structure. It replaces the shallow and simplified bays of a plastic kit in 1:48 scale and gives the landing gear compartments scale depth and detail.
The Do 335 Pfeil (arrow) was a German heavy fighter of the end of the Second World War with an unusual arrangement of two engines in tandem: a tractor propeller in the nose, a pusher at the tail. Low aerodynamic drag made it one of the fastest piston aircraft of its day. The rugged machine had nose landing gear and roomy landing gear bays.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Lay down a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
