The EF-111A Raven was an American electronic warfare aircraft operated by the US Air Force. It was created by converting the General Dynamics F-111A airframe, and its task was to jam hostile radars and air defense systems with the powerful ALQ-99 jamming suite. Unlike the combat versions of the F-111 it carried no bombs or missiles: electronics were its main weapon. It kept the variable-geometry wings and the pair of engines, so it could escort strike formations at high speed. Among other operations, the Raven served in the Gulf War.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint and pick out the roomy side-by-side cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear glazing while spraying. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss coat and pick out the panel lines with a wash. Add the jamming pods and the drop tanks at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
