F-101 Voodoo masks 1:48 is a set of painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for masking the glazed cabin and other features of the model of that type.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:48 scale for the American McDonnell F-101 Voodoo jet aircraft. The masks serve to mask the cabin frames accurately, and usually the wheels as well, while spraying. It is not a model but an accessory for building one.
The McDonnell F-101 Voodoo was an American twin-engine supersonic jet aircraft of the Cold War era, used in fighter, interceptor and photo-reconnaissance versions. It was marked by high performance and a long fuselage.
The masks are laid adhesive side down straight onto the clean and degreased cabin glazing and the other features of the model to be masked, the edges are pressed down carefully and the areas between them are covered with tape or masking fluid. The framing is then sprayed in the airframe color and, once dry, the masks are lifted off carefully. The pre-cut shape matches the layout of the cabin, so cutting tape laboriously with a knife is no longer needed. The masks are intended for that aircraft type; the particular kit has to be obtained separately.
Painting masks are not a model. The aircraft kit itself has to be obtained separately; the masks, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
