Eduard 1:48 F-104G late — a color-printed set of photo-etched parts from the Zoom line for bringing out the cockpit of the Starfighter in its late version, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A color-printed set of photo-etched parts from the Zoom line of the Czech maker Eduard, intended for a model of the F-104G in its late version in 1:48 scale. The Zoom line concentrates on the most visible places on a model — above all the cockpit: a printed instrument panel and small interior details take on a form that is very hard to achieve with a brush. It is not an airplane kit, but an add-on set that lifts a model you already have.
The Lockheed F-104G Starfighter was a single-engine fighter with a characteristically thin trapezoidal wing and performance beyond twice the speed of sound. The G version was created for the European members of NATO and became the most widely used variant of the type — it flew with the German, Italian, Dutch and Belgian air forces among others. Machines from the later part of their service differed in equipment details, and it is these that the late version is aimed at.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bend them with smooth-jawed tweezers or a bending tool and glue them with a tiny amount of super glue applied on the tip of a pin. Do not repaint the color-printed parts — at the end it is enough to even them out carefully with a matte varnish so that the printing does not stay glossy.
This is an add-on set — the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
