The LööK range from the Czech firm Eduard brings the two most visible cockpit improvements together in one package: a pre-colored resin instrument panel with the dials in relief and pre-colored photo-etched steel seat belts. This set matches the early forms of the F-104G in 1:48 scale. With no lengthy painting of tiny dials you get a cockpit that will stand being looked at closely.
The Lockheed F-104G Starfighter was a single-engine supersonic fighter and fighter-bomber that became the backbone of many European NATO air forces. The G version was the most numerous - it was built under license in Europe and served with the Luftwaffe and with the Italian, Dutch and Belgian air forces among others. Its slender fuselage and unusually thin, short wings earned it the nickname of a piloted missile.
Separate the resin panel carefully from the casting block, seat it in place of the original plastic part and glue it with super glue or gel glue. Before installing the steel belts, bend them slightly into a natural shape so that they look relaxed over the seat. The surface of the panel needs no painting; at most you can even it out with satin varnish.
This is an accessory for a kit - the aircraft model itself is not included in the package.
