This is a detailing accessory in resin, not a complete airplane model. The Brassin set from Eduard replaces the plastic cockpit with a faithfully rendered resin pilot's station for models of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat fighter in the late configuration in 1:48 scale. Photo-etched parts and instrument decals are usually included. Meant for more experienced modelers.
The set markedly raises the detail of the cockpit tub, the instrument panels, the side consoles and the ejection seats compared with the basic plastic. It can be used on the matching F-14A kits in that scale.
Wash the parts free of release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue. Decals on resin bring the instruments to life, and the panels are fine-tuned with a dry brush and a gentle wash. Check the fit of the tub dry before closing the fuselage.
This is not an airplane model but a detailing accessory. It is supplied unpainted, without glue and paints, unless stated otherwise.
