Note that this is not an airplane model but a pack of detailing accessories from Eduard. The Big Ed edition gathers several separate sets into a single box: colored photo-etched parts for the interior and the exterior, steel seat belts and a set of masking templates. The set is made for a plastic model of the F-104S ASA-M fighter in 1:48 scale and brings everything needed for one kit together in one place.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was a supersonic interceptor with its characteristic slender fuselage and short straight wings. The F-104S ASA-M version is the upgraded Italian variant with improved avionics and armament, which the Italian Air Force operated until the end of the Starfighter era. The canopy glazing, the seat and the instrument panel are exactly the places where the accessories show most.
The colored photo-etched parts are pre-printed, bonded with cyanoacrylate glue and bent over a bender or a blade. The masking templates speed the spraying of the glazing and the wheels up and make it more accurate. Working with tweezers, good lighting and a magnifier is recommended. You will use the set throughout the whole build, not only at the end.
The pack of accessories is supplied on its own. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
