F-111 Front electronic 1:48 (Black Dog, resin)

This is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory. It is a resin set in 1:48 scale showing the front avionics and electronics bays of the General Dynamics F-111 aircraft. The cast parts replace or supplement the plastic parts and expose the internal fittings that a kit deals with only in a simplified way.

What the set is for

The F-111 was a two-seat supersonic tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing and a richly equipped electronic system. Showing the front bays open with the avionics gives a model documentary value and is a rewarding subject for dioramas and maintenance scenes. The set is intended for models of the F-111 in this scale.

Fitting tips

Wash the parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting, spray the parts over with a primer and bring the details out with washes.
