A resin detail set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane in its own right but a complete replacement of the cockpit, which you will seat in the plastic kit of the F-14A Tomcat fighter aircraft. The set combines resin parts, colored (pre-printed) photo-etched elements and waterslide decals, thanks to which the pilot's compartment gains a markedly higher level of detail than plastic.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier-based fighter aircraft with variable-geometry wings, operated by the US Navy from the 1970s. The cockpit of the F-14A hides the stations of the pilot and the weapon systems officer; the instrument panels and the side panels are well visible on an open model, which is why their detail pays off.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off, then glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Glue the colored photo-etch on with a small amount of super glue or with glue for photo-etch. We recommend finishing and painting the cockpit before closing the fuselage up. Check that the shape matches the particular plastic kit before fitting.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
