Big Sin is a premium pack of aftermarket super-details from the Czech maker Eduard for detailing a plastic model of the carrier-borne Grumman F-14D Tomcat fighter in 1:48 scale. The set brings resin parts, photo-etched metal elements and, where applicable, decals together into a single box. It is not an airplane kit but a set of accessories for a base plastic kit.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American carrier-borne multirole fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The F-14D Super Tomcat version was the last and most capable variant, with upgraded avionics, a digital cockpit and more powerful General Electric engines. It served with the US Navy until 2006.
The premium resin parts replace and supplement parts of the model with a high level of detail, while the photo-etched elements pick out fine structural details. Wash the resin free of mold release agent before gluing, cut the casting blocks off and glue with cyanoacrylate. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
This is a premium add-on set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
