This is a 3D printed resin accessory from the Czech maker Eduard, not an aircraft model. The set brings a finely rendered ACES II ejection seat that replaces the simpler plastic part from the base kit. Direct 3D printing makes it possible to capture even small elements such as the harness, the handles and the controls. Intended for models of the F-16 fighter in 1:48 scale.
The ACES II ejection seat is used in a number of American combat aircraft including the F-16 Fighting Falcon. It gets the pilot out safely across a wide range of speeds and altitudes. In the cockpit it is one of the most conspicuous elements, which is why rendering it faithfully makes a marked difference to the overall impression of a model.
Separate the part carefully from the print supports and check the fine edges. Wash and degrease the resin before gluing. Bond with cyanoacrylate. The seat stands out with careful detail highlighting using a dark wash and dry brushing; the harness and the handles are best picked out in a different color.
This is an accessory intended for further work. Glue, paints and the base model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
