The General Dynamics (later Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most successful fighter aircraft of the modern era. It is a light single-engine multirole fighter with a characteristic cockpit frame with an excellent view and with a fly-by-wire control system. The F-16CM version represents the modernized standard of the single-seat variant with advanced avionics. This finish commemorates the anniversary of the type's first flight.
It pays to paint the cockpit and the ejection seat thoroughly, because they are clearly visible under the large transparent canopy; cover the canopy with masks. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. The bold commemorative scheme puts the emphasis on a good gloss undercoat beneath the decals, so that they settle without silvering. Fit the external stores and the armament only at the close of the build.
