A cockpit set for the modernized F-4S Phantom II in 1:48 from Quinta Studio. A decal sheet printed in color, to which resin parts belong according to the name. The target kit: Academy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The interior areas printed in color on decal paper are applied directly onto the plastic and are completed by the resin components that the name of the set gives. The result is an equipped cockpit without hours spent over painting tiny dials and switches. The decals are shaped to the parts of the Academy kit.
The designation F-4S was carried by machines that arose from the rebuilding of older naval Phantoms at the end of the 1970s. They were given a strengthened airframe structure, modified avionics and low-smoke engines, which gave the aircraft away less readily at a distance. The most striking change was the slats on the leading edge of the wing, which improved behavior in a turn. In the colors of the Marine Corps these Phantoms stayed in service until the beginning of the 1990s.
First check whether the molding has raised relief that would keep the element from seating. After spraying a smooth layer of gloss varnish, soak the piece briefly, transfer it and press it gently. Do not use softener or setting solution; the chemistry would damage the printed resin. At the end knock the cockpit back to matte and carefully bring out the dry areas with a metal shade.
It is sold separately as an accessory; you will not find the plastic moldings of the aircraft in the box.
