Quinta Studio 1:48 F-82E Twin Mustang is a colored interior set with which the cockpits of the twin-fuselage fighter gain readable instrument fittings without laborious painting of dials. The set is intended for the Modelsvit kit.

The set brings color-printed elements for the crew stations of the two-seat, twin-fuselage F-82E fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a replacement cockpit but an accessory that is placed on the plastic parts of the model and does the work that would otherwise fall to a brush with a very fine point. The result is an instrument panel with crisp dials and side consoles of a kind that is hard to achieve by hand in this scale. It is based on the dimensions of the Modelsvit kit.
The F-82 Twin Mustang came about by joining a pair of modified P-51 series fuselages with a common center wing section and horizontal tail. The aim was an escort fighter with a range that a single-engine design could not offer; the two pilots could take turns on flights lasting many hours. The E version served as a day escort for bomber formations and differed from the night versions in the arrangement of the two cockpits.
Try the position of the individual segments dry first and only then fix them permanently. The surface should be smooth and degreased, because any unevenness of the plastic will show through the part of the set. Once dry, trim the overhanging edge with a sharp scalpel. The finished interior takes an accent of a dark shade in the recesses and a final flattening, so that the highlights do not clash with the surrounding surface.
