Resin ejection seats with seat belts for the F-84G Thunderjet in 1:48 scale from Quickboost — an exact cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Resin ejection seats with cast-in seat belts for the American F-84G Thunderjet fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but an exact replacement part for experienced modelers that will replace the simplified seat from the kit and markedly raise the accuracy of the cockpit. The castings capture the fine relief of the straps, the buckles and the shell, which is hard to form in plastic.
The F-84G Thunderjet was an American jet fighter-bomber of the early 1950s that served in the Korean War and became the first production aircraft able to take on fuel in flight and to carry tactical weapons. Its cockpit is easy to see under a slid-back canopy, which is why an accurate seat pays off. The part is meant as a refinement of an existing Thunderjet model in the same scale.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release. Cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw and sand the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding resin. Bond only with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the seat in the base color, set the belts apart in a different shade and bring out the buckles with a dry brush; a light wash will deepen the details.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
