A decal set (waterslide decals) in 1:72 scale from DP Casper devoted to the aircraft and helicopters used in the Iran-Iraq War between 1980 and 1988. It is not a model kit but a sheet of markings that you apply to a plastic model of the matching type and scale that you own.
It covers a varied mix of combat machines from both sides of the conflict, from supersonic fighters through fighter-bombers to helicopters. Types that appear include the Sukhoi Su-22, the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, the Dassault Mirage F1, the MiG-21 and MiG-23 and the Mi-24 attack helicopter. The particular schemes and the units they belong to are given in the instructions supplied.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat to prevent silvering, use a decal softener and a setting solution, and seal them with a matte or semi-gloss coat once dry. On desert schemes, a discreet dusting of weathering at the end works well.
