The Quinta Studio set brings a colored cockpit interior for the F-86A Sabre jet fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an interior accessory. The instrument panel, side consoles, belts and further elements are 3D-printed and printed in full color with relief on decal backing paper. This variant additionally comes with 3D-printed resin parts.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American swept-wing jet fighter, a symbol of the early 1950s and of the dogfights over Korea. The early F-86A was among the first production Sabres and its cockpit is a rewarding target for detailing.
Cut the decal part out, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. The parts have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22); on broken surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. Wash the residue off the resin parts and glue them with super glue. Finish the interior before you close the fuselage.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
