A photo-etched set of F-86A Sabre STEEL seat belts in 1:48 scale from Eduard. Pre-painted steel belts for the cockpit that replace flat plastic parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched set of pilot's seat belts, not a model of an aircraft. The set from the STEEL line is made of pre-painted steel, which holds its shape better than brass and bends realistically into a natural sag. The color printing captures the webbing and the metal buckles without the need for further painting.
The North American F-86 Sabre was a first-generation American jet fighter that made its name in the fighting over Korea. The A version belonged to the early production machines, and its cockpit matched postwar design practice with multi-point belts on the pilot's seat.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife and shape them with tweezers. Use cyanoacrylate glue or a glue for photo-etch. The pre-painted surface only needs a gentle lift with a dry brush or a light wash. The belts are thin, so work calmly and with good light.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
