Eduard 1:48 F/A-18F TFace is a set of pre-cut painting masks for the glazing of the two-seat Hornet in 1:48 scale. The TFace version means masks for both the outer and the inner face of the canopy.

A masking set for a model of the two-seat Hornet in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It is neither a kit nor a photo-etched part but a consumable aid for painting: pre-cut self-adhesive masks that follow the shape of the canopy frames exactly. The TFace marking means that the set holds masks for both faces of the glazing - that is, for the inside as well, which the basic version without TFace does not cover.
The frames of the cockpit are a different shade inside than outside: inside they follow on from the interior color, outside they carry the exterior camouflage. If you mask only from outside, the inner face of the frame stays clear and looking in through the canopy gives it away at once, because the paint stops at the glass. A double-sided set lets you do the job properly - first the inside is masked and the interior shade sprayed, then the canopy is masked from outside and the exterior color follows. On a cockpit displayed open the difference shows at first glance.
Degrease the glazing before masking and let it dry completely. Lay the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with a toothpick so that paint does not run underneath. Spray thinly and in several coats; a heavy coat builds a step on the edge of the frame that shows once the mask is off. Take the mask off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch but not yet fully cured - later there is a risk of it pulling the paint away with it. A cotton bud moistened with water wipes off any adhesive residue.
The masks are an accessory to a model, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
