Resin exhausts meant for a model of the F4U-2 Corsair night fighter version. The rendition matches night work, where care was taken to hold down the exhaust flames that would give the position of the aircraft away in the dark. The castings replace the plastic exhaust parts and raise the fidelity of a model. It is a detail accessory, not a complete kit.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing. The F4U-2 version was reworked for night fighter duty and carried a radar. The arrangement of the exhausts on the night machines came out of the need to limit the dazzling of the pilot and the visibility of the flames.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the mating surfaces. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhausts come into their own once they are painted in shades of burnt metal and lightly weathered.
This is a resin accessory for advanced modelers. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
