This is a modeling material for finishing hoses and wiring, not a kit. Tube 2.5 mm in diameter is slipped onto a hose or a wire and once heated it draws down around it into a firm sleeve with a sharp edge. On a model you can make a clamp, a hose end fitting or a band tying a wiring bundle together out of it.
Green is the least usual color of the whole range, and that is precisely its strength. Once the main circuits are set apart in red and blue, the auxiliary routing is left, the breather, the overflow, the hose to the brake fluid reservoir, and for those green is exactly the distinction that does not encroach anywhere else. Its second use is a matter of color: on machines with a green racing livery the sleeves match the rest of the machine and come across as a deliberate feature, not as a random color. The 2.5 mm diameter is the largest in the manufacturer's range, so it will take a thicker hose or a gathered bundle as well.
Cut the rings at a right angle with a new scalpel and keep two lengths at hand: a short ring acts as a clamp, a longer piece as an end fitting. Before shrinking, try an offcut so that you know how markedly the diameter draws down. Apply the heat away from the model or far enough from painted areas, and do not put the tip of a soldering iron against it directly. On a finished model it is safer to fit the sleeve dry and secure it with a drop of super glue. Green looks best on a dark base; on a light gray frame a thin application of dark wash around the sleeve will tone it down a little.
