This is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. The cast parts replace the nozzles of the kit with a finer rendering matched to the single-seat E version.
The F/A-18E is the single-seat version of the enlarged carrier-based multirole fighter, powered by a pair of turbojets. The shape of the exhaust nozzle changes with the engine setting; the open, spread position matches a higher thrust state, typically on takeoff and at full power.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and align them with the rear end of the fuselage. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with airway protection. The inside of the nozzles comes alive once painted in heat-stressed metallic shades and lightly brought out with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
