This set from Eduard is an accessory, not an aircraft model. It contains a pair of faithfully worked ejection seats for the two-seat cockpit of the F/A-18F Super Hornet in 1:48 scale. Fine, pre-painted photo-etched pieces and decals are part of the package and give the seats a realistic look of harness straps and placards.
The F/A-18F is the two-seat version of the US Navy's carrier multirole fighter Super Hornet. The crew consists of the pilot and the weapon systems officer; both sit on modern ejection seats. The cockpit is one of the most conspicuous places on a model, and that is why detailing the seats shows markedly.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and shape the photo-etched straps with tweezers. We recommend spraying the seats, bringing out the detail with a wash and adding a tinted varnish suited to the color used.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
