The set from Eduard is an accessory, not an aircraft model. It contains a set of landing gear wheels for a model of the two-seat multirole F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter in 1:48 scale. The wheels carry a finely rendered tire pattern and hub detail that injection-molded parts capture only roughly.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a two-seat carrier-based fighter of the US Navy. Its sturdy nose and main landing gear carry a considerable load when landing on the deck of a carrier. Faithful wheels therefore improve the impression of a model on display and in a diorama markedly.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the tires with a matte rubber color, set the hubs apart and dust the whole with pigments for a used effect. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
