This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Hasegawa captures the two-seat carrier-based multi-role F/A-18F Super Hornet of the US Navy in 1:48 scale. The kit offers a well worked-out two-seat cockpit, detailed intake ducts and landing gear bays, and decals for navy squadrons.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is the two-seat version of the carrier-based multi-role aircraft that serves with the US Navy both as a fighter and as an attack machine. Compared with the original Hornet it has a larger airframe, more powerful engines and greater range. The two-seat version is used both for combat tasks and for training.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. For the typical gray navy camouflage use an airbrush and apply the shades in subtle transitions. Lay the decals with the national insignia and the stencils onto a gloss clear coat, and at the end even the surface out with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
