A set of instrument panels for a model of the A-10C Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale, cut for the Great Wall Hobby kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-10C is the modernized form of the well-known ground-attack aircraft. The airframe stayed as tough as before, but the pilot's station changed: color displays and new controls were added to the original round instruments, through which the pilot works with guided armament and with a reconnaissance pod. The cockpit of the C version is therefore distinctly different from that of the older machines, and for a modeler it is the place a viewer notices sooner than details on the wing.
The set brings instrument panels for the A-10C model in 1:48 scale and is prepared for the Great Wall Hobby kit. It replaces the bare plastic station part so that the individual instruments and the display areas are legible in the cockpit.
First level the base in the cockpit and degrease it so that the element seats over its whole area. Before applying, check in the manufacturer's instructions how the elements are attached to the base. The method of application differs between the types, so do not work on the set without the support of the instructions. Work with tweezers, seat the element at the first attempt and press it down only lightly with a soft stick. Once dry, the displays can be gone over with a drop of gloss varnish to give them the impression of glass, while the matte surroundings of the panel are left unchanged so that the areas are set apart from each other.
For modelers who are building the modernized version of the A-10 in 1:48 scale and want the cockpit legible even under a closed canopy. The set is an accessory to a kit; paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
