This is a set of colored three-dimensional decals on decal paper, which serve to detail the cockpit of the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch model in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory for the Fi 156 Storch plastic kit from Tamiya. The decals have genuine raised relief, so the instrument panel, the side consoles and other features of the cockpit come across as three-dimensional and legible.
The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was a German liaison and observation aircraft of the Second World War period. It became famous for its exceptional short-field takeoff and landing qualities and for its extensively glazed cabin, thanks to which the interior was particularly well visible.
Cut the parts out, soak them briefly and transfer them onto the surface much like classic decals; the relief adapts to the shape. Softener, however, is not used here, as it would damage the printed resin. Painting the cockpit falls away, and we recommend only a fine darkening of the shadows and possibly a matte clear coat to even the surface out. Because of the glazed cabin it pays to spend time on seating the parts.
This is an accessory, not a separate model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
