Hauler 1:48 Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen is a photo-etched accessory set for the kit of the antiaircraft tank with the Flak 43 gun. It is not a model but metal refinement for a model you already own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts meant for refining the plastic kit of the Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen antiaircraft tank with the Flak 43 gun in 1:48 scale. The product is not a kit of the vehicle, nor a finished model, but an aftermarket accessory from the Czech maker Hauler for the Tamiya kit.
The Möbelwagen was a German antiaircraft tank built on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank. The fighting compartment was formed by four folding armor walls: in the raised position they protected the weapon, and once folded down they allowed it to fire through its whole range instead. It is precisely this arrangement that makes the model a rewarding object, because the walls can be built in either position and in either one their thickness is apparent at first glance.
Decide in advance whether you want the walls folded down or raised - the whole order of the work depends on it. With the walls folded down you can see inside, so the interior and the weapon have to be painted and weathered before the compartment is closed up. Fit the photo-etched hinges, loops and flanges only after you have checked that the walls really do line up in the position you have chosen. It pays to assemble one unit at a time and to let the glue harden properly, because a metal joint will take very little repositioning afterwards. At the end the horizontal surfaces of the vehicle deserve a touch of dust and the vertical ones light traces of wear.
This is an accessory set, not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
