An aftermarket detail accessory from the Hungarian company SBS Model, not a kit. The set combines resin and photo-etched parts for models of the Dutch Fokker D.XXI fighter in the variant with the Bristol Mercury radial engine in 1:48 scale. It improves key parts of the airframe and the interior with castings that are truer than the plastic.
The Fokker D.XXI was a Dutch fighter with fixed landing gear from the end of the 1930s, used among others by the Dutch Air Force and the Finnish Air Force. The version with the Bristol Mercury engine was one of the widespread forms and became known for its tenacious service in Finnish colors.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and fit them; bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and bond them with super glue. Paint and highlight the interior parts before closing up the fuselage. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin and photo-etched parts. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
