Responsibility details are not available.
Quinta Studio solves the cockpit of the single-engine fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale by 3D printing on decal paper. The set arrives painted and ready for use: once soaked off it is carried over onto the model, where it creates raised instrument and side panels with a depth that cannot be achieved with a flat decal. It is not a kit, but a detail accessory to a plastic kit.
The Fw 190 was a German single-seat fighter aircraft with a radial engine; the A-8 and A-9 versions belong among the late batches of this line. The letter R in the designation refers to a supplementary equipment set fitted to the aircraft according to its role, so the cockpit of a machine equipped this way differed in details from the basic configuration.
A 3D decal has to get into the shape of the base, otherwise it will peel away once dry. Once the piece is seated, press it down with a cotton swab or a soft sponge, and always from the center outward, so that water and air escape from beneath it. In deeper recesses it helps to turn the swab gently rather than slide it. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution: preparations that can draw a thin decal over rivets will ripple the relief layer and attack the printed resin. Lukewarm water and gloss clear under the piece will do, and while the piece is wet, press on nothing.
It is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
