This decal set from Eduard brings national insignia for a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 fighter in 1:48 scale. It suits as a quality replacement for the sheet from a kit, for repairing damaged markings and as the basis for building a machine in a form other than the one the box offers.
The Fw 190A-5 version followed on from the earlier forms of the A series and was built from the spring of 1943. Its main design difference was a lengthened engine mount, which moved the BMW 801 radial engine slightly forward and improved the balance of a machine with heavier equipment. Thanks to their rugged construction and versatility the A-5 machines served as fighters and as attack aircraft and became the basis of a series of further modifications.
Prepare the surface with a gloss clear coat, dip the decals briefly in lukewarm water and settle them on the model with a soft brush. Squeeze the water out from the center toward the edges, and on engraved lines a softening solution helps. Once dry, go over them with a final clear coat to the degree of gloss you have chosen.
This is an accessory: a kit of the aircraft is not included in the package.
