MG 15 turned metal barrels 1:48 from the Polish manufacturer are a precise replacement for the plastic parts from a kit. The set holds two turned barrels of the German aircraft machine gun and photo-etched sights.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory. It replaces the plastic barrels of the MG 15 defensive machine gun on your model in 1:48 scale. The package holds two turned metal barrels and photo-etched sights. Turned metal has a sharper muzzle, more precise geometry and finer detail than injection-molded plastic can achieve.
The MG 15 was a German aircraft machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber. It served above all as a flexible defensive weapon on Luftwaffe bombers and reconnaissance aircraft from the 1930s and in the early part of the Second World War. It is recognizable by its saddle drum magazine and by being hand-operated at the gun position.
Cut off the plastic barrel on the model and replace it with the metal part, ideally into a small pre-drilled hole. Bond the metal with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the parts before painting and keep the coat of paint thin, so that the muzzle stays sharp. Bend the photo-etched sights carefully to match the real thing.
The accessory requires a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
