Quinta Studio 1:48 Gloster Gladiator Mk.I — colored 3D interior decals give the cockpit of the biplane legible instruments without the painting of small details.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Quinta Studio set is neither a kit nor a replacement part for the cockpit. These are full-color decals with fine relief printed on decal paper, which are applied straight onto the plastic parts of the interior. The instrument panel and the other areas of the cockpit thus get dials, plates and labels in color without your reaching for the finest brushes or for etched parts.
The Gloster Gladiator was a British fighter biplane of the nineteen-thirties, the last of its kind in front-line service with the Royal Air Force. The Mk.I version had an open, or rather glazed, cockpit with a fairly open interior, so the inside is clearly seen on a model and it is worth not skimping on it.
Spray the base with paint and polish it over with gloss varnish, or air will be held under the decal and the edges will whiten. Release the decal after about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water, move it into place and draw the surplus water off. Use neither softener nor setting solution; their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the feature. Once dry, even the surface out with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is an accessory to a kit. The kit, paints and varnishes are not part of the delivery.
