A set from the SPACE line of the Eduard company for the detailed interior of the carrier fighter Grumman F-14A Tomcat in the late version, in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory combining color 3D decals with preprinted steel photo-etched parts, intended for the Tamiya plastic kit. The SPACE line joins three-dimensional decals of the panels with fine metal elements.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The late machines differed in the details of the cockpit equipment; the set matches that standard.
The color 3D decals replace the instrument panels and the side consoles of both cockpits, and the preprinted photo-etch adds the harnesses, small levers and further fine parts. The decals are activated in water, and the photo-etched parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The result looks realistic without the need for laborious painting.
This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for completing a build. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
