The Eduard F4F-3 Wildcat landing flaps 1:48 (3D printed) is a 3D-printed detail set of lowered flaps for both wings of a model. It is not a kit but an accessory for advanced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings 3D-printed landing flaps in the lowered position for both wings of a model of the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The parts are produced by direct 3D printing in resin and capture the structure and the ribbing of the flaps convincingly. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for improving one.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was the main carrier fighter of the US Navy at the start of the war in the Pacific. Lowered landing flaps give a static model the dynamic look of an aircraft on approach or on deck.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and wash off any resin residue. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); wear respiratory protection while sanding. The inner surfaces of the flaps come into their own with shading and a fine wash.
Supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin detail set (3D printed). The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
