About product

Hawk Mk.I 1:48 (Eduard) — painting masks

A set of painting masks in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard for the Hawk jet trainer. The masks are pre-cut from yellow Japanese kabuki tape and serve for masking the cockpit glazing and the wheels while paint is sprayed. It is not a model: the kit itself has to be obtained separately.

The real subject

The Hawk is a British two-seat jet trainer and light combat aircraft. It is widely used in the role of advanced pilot training, and in its colorful finishes it is associated with display aerobatic teams as well. The long glazed canopy of the tandem cockpit calls for careful masking when painting, which this set makes easier.

Use

  • Masking the glazing frames of the tandem cockpit
  • Masking the tires while the wheel discs are painted
  • Kabuki tape follows curves and leaves no adhesive behind once removed
  • It saves time compared with cutting masks by hand

Who the set is for

For modelers building the Hawk in 1:48 scale who want clean paint edges on the glazing and the wheels.

This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
