This small set holds resin replacement exhaust stubs for a plastic model of the German Heinkel He 111H-3 bomber in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts from the box with a more faithful and more finely cast version with hollow outlets.
The cast exhausts have cleanly rendered details and open outlets, which markedly brings the engine nacelles to life once painted and lightly weathered. The parts are designed as a direct replacement, so they usually need no substantial changes to the fuselage or the nacelles.
First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The exhausts look best with a dark base and a hint of rust and soot applied with pigments.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
