DEF Model resin replacement wheels in 1:48 scale for the HMMWV (Humvee) multi-purpose military vehicle in the RT/II version. A set with the weighted wheel effect for a faithful look to the model. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of replacement wheels from DEF Model in 1:48 scale is meant for the American HMMWV multi-purpose military vehicle, known as the Humvee, in the version with RT/II type tires. The wheels are intended for the Tamiya kit.
The parts are cast in modeling resin and faithfully capture the off-road tread of the real tires. The characteristic feature is the weighted wheel effect, where the lower part of the tire is slightly flattened as if the weight of the vehicle were acting on it. The model then stands on the ground more convincingly.
The resin castings offer fine, sharp definition of a kind the plastic parts from the kit usually do not reach. Before fitting, it is best to wash the parts and remove the casting gates.
